Castle of Santa Catalina, Cadiz

This castle was commissioned by King Philip 2 of Spain after the attack on the city in 1596 by Anglo-Dutch troops. It is in really good condition and is used for exhibitions and also contains craft and artistic workshops. The buildings are built around a parade ground one side of which contains the Chapel of Santa Catalina, built in 1693. It is free entry too.
