Alcazar de Jerez de la Frontera

This former Moorish alcazar was originally built in the 11th century and was later used as a residence and fortress by the Almohad rulers of Spain, before being taken over by the Christians. The Alcazar contains many buildings including an octagonal tower, the old baths and some lovely gardens. Also some great views of the city from the ramparts. Remember this is not open on Mondays.
